Liverpool will aim to forget about their poor domestic form when they face Rangers at Ibrox in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.
Jurgen Klopp’s side won the reverse fixture 2-1 last week, meaning they sit second in Group A as we head into Matchday 4 – three points behind Napoli.

As for Rangers, they find themselves rock bottom of the standings – six points behind Liverpool – having suffered three straight defeats.
The Scottish giants were thrashed 4-1 by Ajax on Matchday 1 before suffering a 3-0 loss to Napoli on Matchday 2.
Last week, they registered just 36% possession and two shots on target as Liverpool cruised to a comfortable 2-0 victory at Anfield.
Not only have Rangers conceded nine goals in three Champions League outings (3 goals per game), but they have also failed to score a single goal in reply.
The Gers head into Wednesday’s clash on the back of a 4-0 win against St. Mirren in the Scottish Premiership, so they will hope to carry their domestic form onto the European stage.
By contrast, Liverpool will aim to put last weekend’s 3-2 loss to Arsenal behind them as quickly as possible on Wednesday.
The Reds are stuck in mid-table in the Premier League, having won just two of their eight games. As a result, they are languishing in mid-table.
In the Champions League, however, Klopp’s men have taken six points from a possible six after beating Ajax (2-1) and Rangers (2-0). That said, they were thrashed by Napoli (4-1) on Matchday 1.
Having lost just three of their previous 16 Champions League games, Liverpool will be confident of avoiding defeat on Wednesday.
Head-to-head: Rangers and Liverpool played out their very first competitive fixture last week, meaning the English side have the upper hand over the Scottish club.
Team news: Rangers’ lengthy injury list contains Ianis Hagi, Filip Helander, Tom Lawrence, Nnamdi Ofoborh and John Souttar.
Liverpool also have multiple injury absentees, including Luis Diaz, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Arthur. Trent Alexander-Arnold is also a doubt.
Although the Reds are going through a testing period at the moment, they should have more than enough quality to get past Rangers.
For that reason, Forebet predicts that Liverpool will claim back-to-back wins over Rangers – scoring over 1.5 goals on their way to victory.
