Hearts of Oak Communication Director, Kwame Opare Addo has disclosed that former WAFA captain Konadu Yiadom has been registered by the club and could feature in the upcoming season.
Konadu signed a three-year deal with the Phobians, who will represent the country in the CAF Confederations Cup this season.
The 22-year-old was outstanding for WAFA in the Ghana Premier League last term having won seven man-of-the-match awards.
“Hearts of Oak have successfully registered Yiadom after fulfilling all the registration requirements on the FIFA Transfer Matching System,” Opare Addo said as quoted by ghanaiantimes.com, insisting that the player is a bonafide player of the club “who has been registered to play for Hearts for the next three years.”
“We have a very good and healthy relationship with the player’s manager and have had dealings with him in the past which we have never reneged on; so it’s shocking to me at the new turn of events now.”
“Let no Phobian panic; we have got Yiadom in our fold and they would see him play for the club in the upcoming season for sure.”
Hearts have already signed Cameroonian forward Junior Kaaba, Eric Ofori Antwi, Zakari Yakubu, Wisdom Bumekpor, Eric Esso, Prince Nana Kwesi Darmang and Central African Republic striker Yassan Ouatching ahead of the new season.
Yiadom is presently in Austria with the Black Galaxies for a four-nation international tournament.
