Ghana Football Association is currently engaging the National Sports Authority as part of plans to shift the Black Galaxies game against Nigeria to Kumasi.

Ghana will clash with their West African neighbours in the final qualifying round of the African Nations Championship.

The Galaxies played the previous qualifier against Benin in Cape Coast where they won 3-0 and further claimed a 1-0 second leg victory in Cotonou on Sunday.

For the GFA, the Nigerian hurdle is a huge task that will the local-based national team will need massive home support to surpass.

Thereby the decision to play at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The numbers during the Benin game in Cape Coast, was not encouraging enough for such a crucial qualifier and the FA fear that might reoccur against Nigeria.

Ghana will play Nigeria at the weekend of August 26-28.

The CHAN will be hosted in Algeria from 8th January 2023 to 31st January, 2023.

The Galaxies last played in the final of the competiton in 2014, losing to Libya.
