FC Samartex 1996 have signed midfielder Meshack Adjetey Sowah from fellow Ghana Premier League club Vision FC on a four-year contract.

The deal was announced during the ongoing transfer window as the Timber Giants continue preparations for the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.

Samartex confirmed the arrival in a club statement, welcoming Adjetey Sowah and presenting the move as the start of a new chapter for the player.

“Welcome to FC Samartex 1996, Meshack Adjetey Sowah! We are delighted to announce the signing of Meshack Adjetey Sowah from Vision FC on a four-year deal,” the club said.

“The talented midfielder joins the Timber Giants with a new chapter ahead.”

Adjetey Sowah is the latest player to join the Samartex squad as the club builds its group for another campaign in Ghana’s top flight.

His move from Vision FC gives Samartex further midfield options before the start of the new league season. The club has not disclosed any further details about the agreement beyond confirming the player’s four-year contract.

The Timber Giants will begin their preparations by competing in the 2026 Nsenkyire Cup. The tournament will form part of the club’s build-up before their league campaign gets under way.

Samartex will then open their 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season against Karela United at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.

The signing of Adjetey Sowah means the midfielder will enter the new campaign as part of the Samartex squad, with the club having confirmed his arrival from another top-flight side before their competitive fixtures begin.

FC Samartex 1996 described Adjetey Sowah as a talented midfielder in its announcement and said his arrival represented a fresh chapter with the Timber Giants. The club’s statement also formally welcomed him to the team as it prepares for the forthcoming domestic campaign.

Their first scheduled assignment is the 2026 Nsenkyire Cup, followed by the Ghana Premier League opener against Karela United. Both fixtures will take place as Samartex continues its preparations for the 2026/27 season, with the league meeting set for the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.
