Kennedy Boateng, the Togo-Ghanaian centre-back currently without a club, is being linked with a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Fateh.
The 29-year-old left Romanian club FC Dinamo on 1 July, placing him among the defenders available to Al-Fateh as they assess potential additions to their squad. Boateng’s current market value is €1.2m.
Boateng joined FC Dinamo from Austria Lustenau in July 2024 on a free transfer and spent two seasons with the Romanian club before becoming unattached. He made 53 appearances in Romania’s SuperLiga, scoring six goals and providing one assist.
The defender has also played in Portugal and Austria during his career. He made 52 Liga Portugal appearances for Santa Clara and featured 41 times in the Bundesliga for LASK, while winning the Austrian Second League twice with LASK in 2017 and SV Ried in 2020.
Al-Fateh’s interest would represent a potential move to a third country for Boateng, who began his senior career with Ghanaian club WAFA SC before moving to Austria. He is listed as a right-footed centre-back and stands 1.91m tall.
No agreement has been confirmed, and Boateng remains without a club while the reported interest from Al-Fateh develops.
