Togo-Ghana centre-back Kennedy Boateng, who is without a club after leaving FC Dinamo, is being linked with a move to FCSB in Romania’s SuperLiga.
The 29-year-old defender departed FC Dinamo on 1 July 2026, having joined the Bucharest club from Austria’s Austria Lustenau in 2024. Boateng made 53 appearances in the SuperLiga during his career, scoring six goals and providing one assist.
FCSB are now understood to be considering Boateng as a potential defensive addition, with the two clubs operating in the same division. The centre-back’s departure from Dinamo has made him available for a possible move, although there has been no confirmation that an agreement has been reached.
Boateng began his European career with Austrian club LASK after moving from Ghanaian side WAFA SC in 2016. He later represented SV Ried, where he won the Austrian Second League title in 2017 and 2020, before joining Portuguese club Santa Clara in 2021.
The 1.91m right-footed defender has also played in Portugal’s top flight and Germany’s Bundesliga. His career record includes 90 appearances and three goals in Austria’s second tier, alongside 52 Liga Portugal appearances.
Boateng remains without a club, while FCSB’s reported interest has yet to develop into a confirmed transfer.
