Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo has opened up about adapting to Pep Guardiola’s tactics at Manchester City.
“It’s been tough, it hasn’t been easy,” Semenyo admitted.
Guardiola wants him to play high in attacking positions, be out wide, and narrow defensively – a challenging role, but Semenyo’s versatility is helping him cope.
Semenyo’s ability to operate in multiple positions, including right and left winger, striker, and attacking midfielder, gives Guardiola tactical flexibility.
The manager praises Semenyo’s pace, work rate, defensive contribution, and ability to take on ddefenders.
Since joining City in January, Semenyo has impressed with six goals and two assists, showcasing his impact in the Premier League.
Guardiola’s guidance and the team’s supportive culture have aided his adjustment. Semenyo’s stats highlight his versatility, with 14 Premier League goals this term.
His latest strike came at Elland road as City edged Leeds on Saturday.
