Head coach of Medeama Sporting Club, Ibrahim Tanko, has expressed disappointment following his side’s stalemate against Aduana Football Club in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday.
The Yellow and Mauves hosted the Dormaa-based outfit in a Week 22 fixture at the TnA Sports Stadium. The encounter, which was initially halted on Friday due to heavy rainfall, was completed on Saturday morning with both sides sharing the spoils.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Tanko bemoaned the outcome, insisting his team had dropped two crucial points in the title race.
“We lost two points, very vital points. We tried our best. At the end of the match we had a penalty but unfortunately we couldn’t score. We have to take it like that and come back stronger,” Tanko stated.
Despite the draw, Medeama Sporting Club remain at the summit of the Ghana Premier League table with 44 points, maintaining a seven-point cushion over second-placed Aduana as the season enters a decisive stretch.
