Wilfred Ndidi Mourns Father’s Loss in tragic motor accident

Nigerian footballer Wilfred Ndidi is mourning the loss of his father, who passed away in a motor accident following Nigeria’s bronze medal finish at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Ndidi, who captained the Super Eagles, had just led his team to a third-place finish in the tournament.

The midfielder had a notable performance at AFCON 2025, playing four matches and scoring one goal.

His leadership was instrumental in Nigeria’s success, despite his suspension for the semi-final match against Morocco due to accumulated yellow cards.

According to reports his father was involved in a ghastly motor accident in Delta State.

Ndidi’s teammates and fans have expressed their condolences to the grieving family.
