Pressure mounts on Ahmed Fathi as Swedru All Blacks host rampant Kotoko

All eyes will be on Swedru on Matchday 17 as Swedru All Blacks welcome in-form Asante Kotoko in a fixture that could prove decisive for head coach Ahmed Fathi’s future.

Reports suggest the club’s hierarchy are seriously considering parting ways with Fathi if All Blacks fail to secure a positive result against the Porcupine Warriors, turning an already high-stakes encounter into a potential last stand for the coach.

On the pitch, Swedru All Blacks have shown resilience in recent weeks, recording two wins, one defeat and two draws in their last five Ghana Premier League matches. While that run has kept them competitive, it has not fully eased relegation fears.

Their home form, however, offers encouragement. All Blacks are unbeaten in six matches at their own ground and have conceded just three goals during that spell, making Swedru a notoriously difficult venue for visiting sides.

Kotoko arrive in ruthless mood, chasing a fourth consecutive league win after demolishing their last opponents 6–0. With the league’s most potent attack at their disposal, the visitors pose the sternest possible test.
