Medeama SC midfielder Salim Adams insists sentiment will not play a role when his side faces Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League this weekend.

The former Hearts man is expected to line up in Tarkwa, but he maintains that familiarity with his old club brings motivation rather than pressure.

According to Adams, the focus within the Medeama camp is firmly on teamwork, preparation, and maximizing their home advantage.

Adams believes the atmosphere at Tarkwa will be key to Medeama’s approach on matchday.

“Playing in Tarkwa is amazing. We have good supporters here and they make us feel at home.

“There is no pressure on me ahead of Hearts of Oak game. I’m just going to meet old faces. I’m well motivated because of the squad we have,” he told Medeama TV.

The midfielder is expected to play his role as Medeama look to extend their positive momentum.

The match is scheduled for January 4 at the TnA Stadium, with kickoff set for 5:30 pm.

The Mauve and Yellow head into the fixture in encouraging form, recording two wins and three draws in their last five league matches.
