Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has credited tactical adjustments made at halftime for his side’s 2-1 comeback victory over Berekum Chelsea in Matchday 13 of the Ghana Premier League.
The champions recovered from an early setback to secure all three points at TNA Park, strengthening their grip at the top of the table.
Tanko explained that his side were in control even before the break but failed to make their dominance count.
“We controlled the game in the first half, won most of the duels and second balls, and created chances, but we couldn’t score. The goal we conceded came from our own mistake,” he said.
The former Black Stars assistant revealed that changes made during the interval transformed their rhythm and intensity.
“We spoke to the players and made two changes. The team responded well, and we deservedly got the goals,” Tanko added.
Medeama’s victory lifts them to the summit on 26 points, two clear at the top. They now turn their focus to a tough away test against Bibiani GoldStars at DUN’s Park on Matchday 14.
