Accra Hearts of Oak welcome lower-tier side True Life FC in the FA Cup Round of 64, and head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani says the fixture carries special significance for supporters.
Speaking ahead of Wednesday’s match, Didi Dramani urged fans to come and appreciate the club’s recent improvements.
“For me, it gives our fans the chance to come up there and see what the board has done. Sometimes when I step into training, I feel like I am still in Europe.”
Hearts last lifted the FA Cup in 2022, and the coach insists they are determined to challenge again.
“We said we were ready to compete for every trophy at stake, so the FA Cup is just one of those trophies available for contest.”
Dramani also revealed that his squad rotation in last weekend’s win over Vision FC was deliberate, as he prepares for a hectic week.
“That is why we rested some players from our previous game. It is a week where we will play three games… Karela is at the weekend, and we are travelling to my hometown, Tamale, so we need to reload players.”
Wednesday’s match will be Hearts’ third home venue of the season, after previously hosting games at the Accra Stadium and the University of Ghana Stadium.
