Heart of Lions missed the chance to top the Ghana Premier League on Sunday, November 30, 2025, after being held to a 0-0 draw by a determined Karela United side at the Kpando Sports Stadium.

The first half was cagey, with both teams struggling to create clear-cut chances. After the break, both coaches made tactical changes in search of a winner, but neither side could break the deadlock. Heart of Lions came closest in the dying minutes, only to see their effort cannon back off the crossbar.

Despite dropping points at home for the first time this season, the Lions remain second on 23 points, two behind league leaders Medeama SC. Karela United, meanwhile, hold onto eighth place after securing a valuable point, and will aim to build on this result when they host Hearts of Oak.

Heart of Lions will travel to face Nations FC in their next league outing.
