President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, paid a visit to the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Saturday, October 25, 2025, to interact with players and officials participating in the ongoing MTN Elite U19 Championship.

The GFA boss witnessed Matchday Two of the youth tournament, which serves as a major platform for scouting and grooming the next generation of Ghanaian football stars.

During his visit, Okraku engaged with players from the Brong Ahafo and Northern Region teams ahead of their highly anticipated clash ; a match that ended with Brong Ahafo securing a dominant 5–0 victory.

Accompanied by Michael Osekre, his Chief of Staff, Okraku encouraged the young footballers to remain disciplined, focused, and dedicated to improving both on and off the pitch. He reaffirmed the GFA’s commitment to youth development as a crucial pillar for the country’s football future.

The MTN Elite U19 Championship, which runs from October 23 to November 2, 2025, features ten Regional Football Association (RFA) teams. It offers promising talents the chance to gain competitive exposure and attract attention from national team selectors and professional scouts.

Sponsored by MTN Ghana, the competition highlights the GFA’s continued investment in grassroots football and its efforts to build a sustainable pathway from youth football to the professional and national levels.
