Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey is set to make his second court appearance in London on today September 17, as he faces multiple rape and sexual assault charges.
The Villarreal midfielder was charged in August with five counts of rape involving two women and one count of sexual assault against a third woman. The alleged offences are said to have occurred between 2021 and 2022 during his time at Arsenal.
Partey first appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on August 5, where the case was formally opened, before being released on bail ahead of further proceedings.
Despite the charges, the 32-year-old joined Villarreal on a free transfer this summer and has already featured in La Liga and been included in the Yellow Submarine’s Champions League squad.
His latest court appearance comes just a day after Villarreal’s Champions League clash with Tottenham Hotspur in north London, as legal proceedings continue.
