Northern Ladies midfielder Wasiima Mohammed has been handed a late invitation to join the Black Queens’ camp in Morocco ahead of the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
She steps in as a replacement for Abigail Kofi Kim, who will miss both the pre-tournament training and the competition itself.
Wasiima, a former Black Princesses player, was part of Coach Kim Björkegren’s squad during the team’s recent assessment session in Prampram.
She has already linked up with the team in Morocco and is set to take part in the remaining training sessions.
Her inclusion boosts Ghana’s midfield options heading into the tournament.
Wasiima is now in contention for a spot in the lineup for the Black Queens’ upcoming friendlies.
WAFCON 2025 kicks off in Morocco from July 5 to 26.
