Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, congratulated Faith Ladies on their 2024/25 Women’s FA Cup victory and gifted them GH¢10,000.
The Dansoman-based club visited the Minister to present him with the trophy.
Adams praised the team’s achievement, saying, “I want to commend you all for winning the FA Cup; you have done Ghana proud. Women’s football is growing rapidly, and it’s encouraging to see clubs like Faith Ladies leading the way.”
He emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting female footballers, urging the team to maintain their dedication and hard work.
“Keep the hope alive and continue to put in the hard work. Your dedication inspires many young girls and women in Ghana,” Adams said.
Faith Ladies’ Acting Manager, Solomon Mordey, thanked the Minister for the warm reception and financial gesture. Mordey appealed for assistance in acquiring a new team bus, previously promised by the Ghana Football Association.
“We appreciate your encouragement and assistance, and we look forward to working together to achieve even greater successes,” he said.
Adams reaffirmed the government’s support, pledging to help the club reach new heights.
