South African outfit Durban City are on the verge of securing the services of Ghanaian goalkeeper Fredrick Asare.
An agreement is already in place between the two parties, with the player expected to arrive in South Africa on July 1 once his travel documents are completed.
Asare will undergo a five-day assessment with the club before a final decision is made regarding a permanent contract.
The 25-year-old left Asante Kotoko at the end of the 2024/25 season after both sides failed to reach an agreement on a contract extension.
He is now hoping to revive his career outside Ghana, with Durban City offering a fresh opportunity in a new environment.
If successful, the move will mark Asare’s first stint outside the Ghana Premier League.
