Granada have turned down an initial offer from Real Madrid for rising Ghanaian centre-back Oscar Naasei Oppong.
The 20-year-old has attracted interest after a breakthrough season in Spain’s Segunda División, earning promotion from Granada B and making six senior appearances.
Madrid’s approach was swiftly rejected, with Granada insisting on the full €10 million release clause.
Real Madrid view Oppong as a long-term prospect and plan to integrate him through Castilla, while gradually exposing him to first-team training.
The move is part of Madrid’s broader strategy of securing top young talent early, but Granada remain firm, seeing Oppong as a key part of their future.
