Ghanaian midfielder Paul Ayongo says he “can’t wait to see you guys” after completing a move to Armenian club Ararat-Armenia.
The 27-year-old joins ahead of the 2025-26 season as the club gears up for the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers.
Ayongo arrives from Portuguese side GD Chaves, where he made 25 appearances last season in Liga Portugal 2, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
He brings a wealth of experience from his years in Portugal, having featured for several second-tier clubs since turning professional.
His signing is seen as a timely boost for Ararat-Armenia, who are set to play in the second qualifying round of the European competition.
“I am really happy to sign for Ararat-Armenia. I can’t wait to see you guys. See you soon,” he said in a video posted on X.
The club will be counting on Ayongo’s energy and experience as they chase success both domestically and in Europe.
