Karim Zito is focused on guiding Asante Kotoko to a league and cup double this season despite the Porcupine Warriors’ struggles.
After a 4-1 win over Dreams FC on Sunday, Kotoko’s fourth consecutive unbeaten match under Zito’s leadership, the interim coach emphasized his commitment to winning both the Ghana Premier League and MTN FA Cup titles.
Zito, who initially joined Kotoko as technical director before taking over as head coach, downplayed the significance of his job title. “I never knew I was coming to Kotoko… Unfortunately, my own boy left so I had to take over till the season ends,” he said in his post match presser.
“I prefer [winning] a double, so for the position, it doesn’t matter. What matters now is I’m leading the team and we have to do better,” Zito added.
Despite the sudden nature of his appointment, Zito remains committed to Kotoko’s pursuit of success.
With the league and FA Cup titles on the line, Zito is determined to lead the Porcupine Warriors to victory.
