Liverpool legend and Sky Sports pundits Jamie Carragher believes an in-form Mohammed Kudus could have turned West Ham’s season around.
West Ham are 15th in the Premier League, picking up one win in their last nine games.
The Hammers’ performance this term is in contrast to last season, where they finished in the top half (9th) of the table.
Managerial tweaks, players’ injuries, and dip in form have accounted to West Ham’s performances this term.
Top scorers from last season, Jarred Bowen and Kudus have had little impact in games, which according to Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has been a worry.
While speaking on Sky Sports ahead of West Ham v Nottingham Forest, Carragher highlighted the quality of Kudus but expressed his disappointment in his performances this campaign.
“There’s no doubt he is a quality player, who should be playing for a team, i would, say closer to the top of the table than near the bottom right now.”
“But probably one of the reasons West Ham are where they are this season is because he hasn’t shown the form that he showed last season.”
Kudus’ last goal contribution came at Old Trafford and he will be hoping to build on from there.
