Lawrence Agyekum seals permanent move to Cercle Brugge

Cercle Brugge have made Lawrence Agyekum’s loan deal permanent, signing the 21-year-old midfielder to a four-year contract until 2029.

Agyekum impressed the Belgian Pro League outfit with his consistency, featuring in 44 matches and scoring twice with two assists during the 2024/25 season.

Cercle Brugge’s Sporting Director, Rembert Vromant, praised Agyekum’s versatility and technical skills, saying, “He’s a versatile midfielder with strong technical skills, and he fits perfectly into our playing style. We believe in his continued development.”

Agyekum expressed his gratitude and excitement, stating, “It’s been a busy season already, but I’m grateful to God for where I am today. I’m happy to stay at Cercle and looking forward to what’s next.”

The Ghana international had been linked to French clubs Strasbourg and FC Nantes but chose to stay with Cercle Brugge.
