Nikolas Nartey is reportedly on the radar of FC Köln, who are weighing up a potential move for the midfielder after his contract with VfB Stuttgart expires at the end of the season, according to Express.
The 25-year-old Danish-Ghanaian, a product of Köln’s youth academy, left for Stuttgart in 2019 after limited first-team appearances.
His career has since been plagued by injuries, sidelining him for most of the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons.
Recently, Nartey has taken positive steps in his recovery, featuring for Stuttgart’s U23 side in a 1–0 win over Dortmund II, playing 75 minutes.
While Nartey is under consideration, Express reports that he is not a priority target for Köln at this stage.
However, the club might revisit the option if they fail to secure promotion to the Bundesliga, as a free transfer aligns with their regional league rebuild plans.
Nartey’s future will likely depend on his fitness progress and Köln’s summer transfer strategy
