Jerry Afriyie has been included in Ghana’s starting line up ahead of the team’s crucial U20 AFCON quarter-finals tie against hosts Egypt.
Afriyie was a substitute in Ghana’s first game against Dr. Congo before playing a huge part in Ghana’s 1-0 win over Senegal in the second game.
He teed up Emmanuel Mensah for Ghana’s goal before joining his club side Lugo.
Per initial agreement between the Ghana Football Association and CD Lugo, Afriyie was allowed to feature in Ghana’s first two games.
However, after impressing in Lugo’s game over the weekend with a goal and assist, as they battle relegation, a consensus has been reached.
The said game weighs heavily for Ghana and Egypt as a win secured automatic qualification to the U20 World Cup in Chile .
