Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko have suspended football activities temporarily following unfortunate incidents on Sunday against Nsoatreman SC.
The Porcupine Warriors loss 1-0 to Nsoatreman, also suffered another unfortunate news as club supporter, Francis Frimpong, also known as Pooley, was stabbed to death.
Kotoko are demanding justice by perpetrators facing the law.
Part of a press statement released by Kotoko on Tuesday, February 4 states that: “all footballing activities of the senior team are on hold until further notice. Our stance remains unchanged. We will not resume footballing duties until justice is served and concrete steps are taken to prevent such barbaric acts from ever happening again.”
However the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Ghana Police Service have began an investigation into the matter.
Owner and Bankroller of Nsoatreman, Ignatius Baffour Awuah has been arrested as a result to help investigate the matter.
