10-man Nsoatreman SC defeat eight men Asante Kotoko

Nsoatreman SC pulled off a stunning 1-0 victory over Asante Kotoko in a tense week 19 Ghana Premier League gams at Nana Kronmansah II Park on Sunday.

The game was marred by chaos, with a heated confrontation between players from both teams leading to a temporary halt in play.

Referee Mawuli Vormawor even fled the scene at one point, fearing for his safety, but later returned to continue officiating the game.

The tensions were further escalated by sections of the home supporters, who began throwing stones and objects at the Kotoko bench.

The game saw four red cards handed out, with three Asante Kotoko players – Justice Blay, Mohammed Camara, and Kyei Dwamena – and one Nsoatreman SC player, Stephen Diyou, being ejected.

Despite the chaos, Nsoatreman SC managed to secure the win, thanks to Gabriel Bonnah’s 81st-minute goal.

The victory moves Nsoatreman SC up to 14th position with 21 points, while Asante Kotoko drops to second place with 35 points
