Prosper Narteh Ogum elated with Asante Kotoko’s performance against Vision FC

Trainer of Asante Kotoko, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has expressed his delight with the team’s performance against Vision FC on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors ended the first round of the Ghana Premier League with a commanding 4-1 victory over Vision FC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Striker Kwame Opoku scored a brace, while Peter Acquah Amidu and Saaka Dauda added a goal each for the Porcupine Warriors with Nana Yaw Osei netting the consolation for Vision FC.

In an interview with the media, Ogum stated that the entire technical staff was pleased with the team’s display.

“We saw a lot of offensive pattern of play which is a replica of what we practice in training and that invariably tells us that we are transferring everything we do at training into the game,” Ogum said.

“And they were doing it with ease and leading to the creating of a lot chances but for probably for lack of composure in some of the situations, I think the score line would have been an avalanche of goals.

“But then scoring four goals, I think it is ok, it is the three maximum points that we want,” he added

After the win, Kotoko sit third on the league table with 31 points and face Karela United in the second round at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday, January 24.
