All is not lost – Former GFA boss Nyantakyi confident in Black Stars

Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kwasi Nyantakyi is confident that the Black Stars will qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Despite the team’s recent struggles, including their failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Nyantakyi believes the team has the talent and potential to succeed.

Ghana finished the qualification campaign with just three points after six games.

“I don’t think all is lost, but we have to fix it,” he stated in an interview with Lawson FM.

“We have World Cup qualifiers in March against Chad and Madagascar, and I believe that the right players will have to be called for these games.

“It should not be the normal call-ups but players who are ready and dedicated to play for the country and the shirt.

Ghana will bounced back next year for the rest of the World Cup qualification campaign.

The four times African champions are second on Group I table with 9 points four games.
