Ghana’s Black Satellites earned their first victory in the U-20 WAFU B Cup of Nations by defeating Niger 2-0 in the tournament held in Togo.
After a goalless first half, Aziz Musibau opened the scoring in the 63rd minute with a long-range effort.
Ten minutes later, he doubled the lead, finishing off a pass from Jerry Afriyie.
Despite Niger’s efforts, Ghana held firm to secure the clean sheet and all three points.
The win leaves the Satellites on four points ahead of their final group match against hosts Togo on October 23.
The tournament serves as a qualifier for the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
