Banned Kotoko ordered to host Aduana in Sunyani

Asante Kotoko have been ordered to play their next league match at the Sunyani Sports Stadium following the temporary ban from using the Baba Yara Stadium. 

The Ghana FA Executive Committee took the decision to close down the stadium after  violent attacks by their fans on players and match officials of Medeama after last Wednesday’s 0-0 draw at the venue.

The exasperated fans pelted the match pelted the match officials with missiles after the final whistle.

Assistant referee 1 A. S. Malik got injured during the violent attacks and the windscreen of Medeama who had two of their players pick up injuries too.

The Executive Committee took the decision is in accordance with Article 15 (2) of the GFA Regulations which states that the GFA may order the closure of any league centre where the safety of Clubs, Match Officials or Spectators cannot be guaranteed.
