On Tuesday night, UTC Cajamarca welcome Binacional to the Estadio Heroes de San Ramon as the Peruvian Liga 1 Apertura campaign nears it ends.

Binacional ffind themselves eighth in the table – 11 point clear of Cajamarca. However, both sides have taken two wins and three draws from their past five games.

UTC have managed to win just four of their 14 Liga 1 encounters this season, registering two draws and eight losses in the process.

More recently, they have lost six of their previous nine league games. This suggests that UTC could struggle to avoid defeat on Tuesday.

That said, Cajamarca have lost just one of their last nine home games in Liga 1 – highlighting their strength on home soil.

But since they have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their previous 11 league clashes, they will almost certainly concede on Tuesday.

As for Binacional, they have won eight of their 14 Liga 1 matches this term – recording one draw and five losses along the way.

Despite losing three of their last five outings, they have won six of their previous ten. They even enjoyed a four-game winning streak across March and April.

Having conceded a measly 13 goals, Binacional boast one of the best defensive records in the Peruvian top-flight.

It is worth noting that Binacional are extremely strong in the first half of matches. Indeed, they have avoided defeat at half-time in each of their past 17 league games.

Head-to-head: UTC have only managed to win one of their previous five meetings with Binacional, suffering three losses in the process.

When you look at the bigger picture, Binacional have won four of the last seven meetings between the teams – keeping four clean sheets along the way.

Team news: UTC will be without 20-year-old Swiss loanee Robin Wildhaber on Tuesday as he continues to recover from a knee injury.

On the flip side, Binacional’s Janio Posito is currently on the treatment table. Head coach Wilmar Valencia will need others to chip in with goals in his absence.

There is no hiding the fact that Binacional are enjoying a far better campaign than Cajamarca. So, the visitors are expected to overcome the hosts on Tuesday.

Forebet predicts that both teams will score at the Estadio Heroes de San Ramon. However, Binacional should outscore UTC.
