Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has returned to Juventus’ starting team after playing in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Inter Milan in the Italian top-flight.
The midfielder was handed a rare start for the Old Lady since his return from the Africa Cup of Nations in February.
Asamoah was played as the left-back position as Juventus cruised to the crucial away win at the San Siro that boosted their chances of winning the title.
The Ghana star was substituted in the 63rd minute as his position was taken by Federico Peluso who took the midfielder’s place when he left for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Since then Asamoah has struggled to wrestle the position back from Peluso which has led to concerns about his form since his return from the tournament in South Africa.
He will need to work harder and improve on his performances if he is able to fully recapture his his position from Peluso.
Juventus beat Inter Milan 2-1 at the San Siro to extend their lead at the top of Serie A thanks to goals from Fabio Quagliarella and Alessandro Matri.
League leaders Juve were also eager to avenge November’s 3-1 home defeat to the Nerazzurri, which saw their unbeaten run ended one game shy of 50.
