Medeama SC hold Asante Kotoko SC to stalemate in Tarkwa

Medeama SC managed to secure a 1-1 draw against Asante Kotoko SC in the Ghana Premier League campaign.

The Porcupine Warriors, who are unbeaten at Tarkwa Akoon Park in their last three visits, maintained their record after the game on Saturday.

Steve Mukwala Dese put the visitors in front in the 22nd minute, giving them an advantage before the halftime break.

Diawusie Taylor converted a penalty in the 56th minute to give the hosts the equalizer, securing a point from the game.

Kotoko will host Legon Cities in their next fixture. They have accumulated 37 points and are currently 11th in the league standings after 28 games in the ongoing campaign.

Medeama find themselves 7th in the league standings with 40 points after 28 games.

They travel to the nation’s capital to face Great Olympics in their week 29 fixture on Sunday.
