Mustapha Ussif, Ghana’s Minister of Youth and Sports has won Africa’s Sports Minister of the Year.
The hardworking minister bagged the accolade at the inaugural Africa Sports & Tourism Awards (ASTA) held in Abuja, Nigeria.
The Minister, though was not present, was represented by the Director of Protocol at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Dinah Boateng, Head of Consular and Welfare at Ghana’s High Commission in Abuja, Ambassador Inusah Zimblim, and Security Advisor Commodore Bassing.
Under Mustapha’s leadership, Accra was recently named Africa’s city of sports until 2027.
He was also instrumental in ensuring that the 13th African Games were held successfully last month.
