Ghana coach Chris Hughton has taken positives from the Black Stars intense 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) clash against Egypt.
The thrilling encounter ended 2-2 draw on Thursday night at the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny.
Mohammed Kudus, who missed Ghana’s opening game against Cape Verde made a triumphant return to the Black Stars team, scoring a brace against Egypt in the highly-competitive clash.
But the record AFCON holders came from behind twice to secure a vital draw following defensive blunders from the Black Stars.
“This is a team game, it’s not about individual errors. We have to make sure we limit our mistakes. Overall, there are more positives than our previous game” he said.
The West Ham United star was adjudged with the Man of the Match awards following his superlative performance for Ghana.
The Black Stars face a must-win situation against Mozambique on Monday to progress to the next round.
