Bibiani GoldStars will look to rebound from their midweek loss by defeating Real Tamale United on Sunday.
GoldStars’ dismal away record continued as they were defeated 1-0 in Accra by a depleted Hearts of Oak.
They’re back at home, where they’ve been very good this season, winning 12 out of their 15 games in Bibiani thus far.
GoldStars’ home record is better than that of league leaders Asante Kotoko and reigning champions Hearts of Oak, and they will hope to extend it with a victory over RTU.
RTU, who are fighting for relegation, should be concerned because they have consistently performed poorly when they leave Tamale.
They have only one win in 14 attempts, which is a poor record to take to Bibiani.
RTU’s goal is to remain in the league after returning last season after more than a decade away.
They are currently not safe, so they must fight in their remaining games to gain the necessary points to ensure their safety.
RTU are expected to approach GoldStars’ game with courage and determination in order to increase their chances of winning all three points. With a win, they can be five points clear of the relegation zone at the end of matchday 30.
This will be the two clubs’ second meeting in the Ghana Premier League. RTU won the first meeting 2-0.
