Former Bibiani Goldstars tactician Michael Osei expressed his belief that Kotoko earned their win in this highly competitive encounter.
Hearts of Oak took an early lead with Linda Mtange’s goal, but Isaac Oppong leveled the score before halftime. The game’s turning point came in the second half, with Uganda forward Steven Mukwala delivering a stellar performance, netting a brace and securing victory for Kotoko. Martin Karikari managed to reduce the deficit for Hearts of Oak in the final minutes.
