In a closely fought encounter, Gold Stars’ head coach expressed his disappointment as his team settled for a 2-2 draw against Heart of Lions.
Gold Stars took a two-goal lead before capitulating and eventually had to share spoils.
“It was a very difficult game. In fact, let me commend the opponent; they were a very disciplined team,” Osei said.
“It was a game we wanted to win at all costs. We managed to grab the first two goals, but defensively, we fell short, and unfortunately, they equalized.”
Despite the setback, Osei remains optimistic about the team’s future, saying, “It is a very unfortunate game, but we will go back to the drawing board, correct our mistakes, and come back stronger.”
The result extended Gold Stars’ point tally to eight in the Betpawa Premier League after five matches.
