Azam FC’s goalkeeper, Abdulai Iddrisu leads the Tanzania NBC Premier League with the most clean sheets this season.
In a recent match, the former Bechem United goalkeeper secured a clean sheet in a 1-0 victory over Coastal Union.
This achievement has put him on par with Djigui Diara of Young Africans Sporting Club in the race for the Golden Gloves award, as both goalkeepers have now notched up three clean sheets this season.
Azam FC boasts one of the league’s strongest goalkeeping units, having conceded only two goals in their first five Premier League games of the season.
Abdulai is eager to claim his first Golden Gloves award with Azam after joining the club in January 2023.
Azam FC currently sits in the second position on the league table with 13 points from five matches.
Their next league fixture is against the third-placed Young Africans Sporting Club.
