English Premier League side Burnley FC has emerged as a potential destination for Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil.
The winger’s earlier anticipated transfers to both Leeds United and Southampton hit a snag, prompting the Clarets to step in as a potential suitor.
Negotiations have swiftly commenced between Genk, Paintsil’s current club, and the player’s representatives, with the aim of reaching an agreement before the imminent transfer deadline in the forthcoming hours.
Paintsil has been at KRC Genk since 2018 but spent a season on loan to Turkish side Ankaragucu in 2020-21.
The winger has featured 143 times for the Belgian outfit, scoring 32 goals.
