Union Berlin will be desperate for all three points this weekend after failing to win any of their past three games that has seen their title challenge in the Bundesliga come crashing down and an exit from the DFB-Pokal as Borussia Monchengladbach remain in 10th.

Union still sit third in the league table but they come into this one having drawn 1-1 with VfL Bochum last weekend after another goal from Josip Juranovic. Paul Jaeckel was also sent off in the second half of that game and he will miss this match at BORUSSIA-PARK.

Prior to this, Urs Fischer’s side lost 2-1 to Borussia Dortmund in a second meets third battle.

Kevin Behrens levelled the game at one stage, but his goal was not enough to see a five-point gap created on the Black and Gold. Fischer’s men do still remain seven points behind the league leaders Bayern.

Union were also knocked out of the DFB-Pokal to a Randal Kolo Muani brace for Eintracht Frankfurt as the men from the capital went 2-0 down inside 12 minutes and never recovered.

The trend of little possession also continued for Union that day, with them failing to see more than 40% of the ball for the fourth game running.

Oddly enough, Union’s last win was a 2-0 victory over Frankfurt back in the Bundesliga, as Rani Khedira scored before another goal with Behrens.

The third-placed side will still be looking over their shoulder at RB Leipzig in fourth and Freiburg in fifth, with the latter just two points behind and Leipzig only one. Worse yet, their goals difference is far inferior to that of Leipzig’s.

As for Gladbach they drew 1-1 with Frankfurt after Jonas Hofmann’s early goal was cancelled out by a late finish from Muani.

A 2-0 victory over Wolfsburg came just before that, as Nathan Ngoumou scored before Marcus Thuram netted in the second half.

A 0-0 draw with Koln keeps the club unbeaten in April, but Gladbach have still won only nine games and lost 10 so far this season with 45 goals conceded and 43 netted of their own.

Union managed to beat Gladbach earlier in the season with a stunning late comeback, as Danilho Doekhi scored in the 97th minute of the game to secure all three points after Behrens also scored.

Forebet also predicts a win here for Union and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
