Tamale City CEO fears Aduana attack could scare fans away from stadia

Tamale City Football Club CEO, Mohammed Iddi, has expressed concerns over the unfortunate incident that occurred after their Match day 25 encounter against Aduana Stars FC on Sunday.

His comments comes after Tamale City players were reportedly attacked outside the Nana Agyemang Badu Park by fans of the Ogya boys in Dormaa.

According to Iddi, the attack could scare fans away from stadia, which could have a detrimental effect league.

“When you are doing something wrong, you should know that the law will definitely take care of that,” he told Citi Sports.

“Football brings us together; we are one family.

“For the past month, we are preaching about raising spectators at the various venues, such acts by these supporters of Aduana FC will scare people away from watching the league.”

In response to the incident, the Ghana Football Association has ordered a temporary ban on Aduana Stars’ use of the Nana Agyeman Badu Park as their home venue.

This ban will remain in place until the Association has completed its investigation into the incident.
