Two Ghanaian retired referees Gloria Adjei (Central Region) and Jones Akubiem (Eastern Region) have been selected to take part in a three day WAFU Zone B Technical Instructors course in Burkina Faso. The course will run Sunday, March 12 – Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

Gloria Adjei and Jones Akubiem were selected based on their involvement and excellent performance in the training and development of the Catch Them Young referees program.

The training program forms part of the vision of the Ghana Football Association to continue to invest in training seminars to train more Technical and Physical instructors to encourage more retired and committed referees at all levels.

This course is the first ever Technical instructors’ course for the duo at the WAFU level.

The two retired referees will be attached to the Referees Department to design training programs on youth development.
