Ghana’s midfielder Mohammed Kudus has revealed Ajax trainer John Heitinga gave him “a lot of freedom” in their KNVB Cup win over Twente.
Kudus scored the only goal as Ajax booked their place in the quarterfinals of the Dutch Cup competition.
The 22-year-old has now scored three goals since the Ex-Everton defender took over on February 3.
“The manager believes in me, I have a lot of freedom,” said the Ghana international after the win.
Under sacked manager, Alfred Schreuder, Kudus was restricted to a role upfront, playing as a false nine.
The attacker is expected to start when Ajax hosts Waalwijk on Sunday on the right wing.
