Ghana Premier League to break on Sunday for World Cup

The 2022/23 Ghana Premier League will go on break after this weekend’s round of matches for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

However, an Accra High Court dismissed the Application for Injunction filed on Tuesday, October 25 and the league resumed on October 29.

So far, seven matches have been played with Aduana Stars top of the league table with 15 points, followed by Accra Lions, defending champions Asante Kotoko and Great Olympics who occupy the top four position.

This weekends round of games will be match week eight and it becomes with RTU welcoming Asante Kotoko to the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Saturday

Black Stars will be participating at their 4th World Cup and have been drawn in Group H alongside Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.

Ghana will take on Portugal in their first game on November 24 before playing South Korea and Uruguay on November 28 and December 2 respectively.
