Goalkeeper Richard Ofori and his team Orlando Pirates won the MTN8 title after defeating rival South African side AmaZulu in the final. The Buccaneers scored the game’s only goal in the 25th minute, thanks to a goal by Monnapule Saleng.
Orlando Pirates defended very well till the referee whistled for full time. Richard Ofori played full throttle in the intense encounter.
The Buccaneers will now turn their attention to the semifinal game against rival Kaizer Chiefs in the Black Label Cup on November 12.
Goalkeeper Richard Ofori has been included in Ghana’s 55 man provisional squad for the 2022 World Cup. The 2022 World Cup will be held in Doha, Qatar from November 20th and end on 18th December.
Ghana will play its final international friendly game against Switzerland on November 17 in the UAE before flying to Doha, Qatar.
Ghana is in Group H with Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay. The Black Stars of Ghana will play their first game in Group H against Portugal on 24th November.
