AshantiGold ’04 has received a hefty penalty from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee.

The club has been handed a five-home match ban, fined GHS 30,000, and formally warned for misconduct during their Access Bank Division One League game against Sekondi Rospak FC.

The club failed to ensure the safety of match officials, and their supporters exhibited inappropriate behavior.

The GFA Disciplinary Committee deemed the incidents unacceptable, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a safe environment for officials and players.

The home match ban takes immediate effect, and the fine must be paid within 14 days. AshantiGold ’04 has been warned that future misconduct will attract more severe sanctions.

This decision highlights the GFA’s zero-tolerance approach to misconduct in Ghanaian football.

AshantiGold ’04 will need to regroup and ensure they comply with the sanctions to avoid further penalties.
