Cristiano Ronaldo’s relentless desire to score was highlighted by Saudi media figure Khalid Al Sheneif after the Al Nassr captain scored a hat-trick in his side’s 5-3 victory over Al Kholood in the Roshn Saudi League.
The Portugal forward struck in the 66th, 72nd and 81st minutes as Al Nassr secured three points in Thursday’s 12th-round match.
Ronaldo now has eight goals in the Roshn Saudi League, putting him level with Tijjani Reijnders in second place in the scoring charts. Al Ahli striker Ivan Toney leads the way with 12 goals.
Speaking on the television programme Dawrina Ghair, Al Sheneif praised Ronaldo’s continuing appetite for goals.
“I have never seen a player with the same desire that Ronaldo has,” he said. “Without the slightest doubt, he is a hungry player.”
Al Sheneif said Ronaldo’s determination was reflected particularly clearly in the move that produced his third goal.
“Being hungry is not a bad thing in football,” he added. “He always wants to score. He had already scored twice, but in the 81st minute he continued running from the middle of the pitch during an attack that was almost over. He reached the penalty area and scored.”
The analyst said the Portugal international’s passion, ambition and determination to find the net were the qualities that set him apart from other players.
“That is what distinguishes Ronaldo from the others: passion, ambition and desire,” Al Sheneif said. “He is 42 years old, yet he reached the penalty area before Felix, who is 25.”
The comments focused on more than Ronaldo’s three goals. According to Al Sheneif, the forward’s performance demonstrated that his motivation does not end once he has scored or helped his team establish a commanding position.
Instead, Ronaldo continued his run until the final moments of the attack and was rewarded with the goal that completed his hat-trick, underlining his sustained hunger to compete and score.
Al Nassr’s next listed fixture is against Pakhtakor in the AFC Champions League Elite on 02 November 2026. The team then face Al Khaleej in the Roshn Saudi League on 05 November 2026.
